Nearly 70 additional tea growing area codes have been issued.

Over the past year, Thai Nguyen province has issued nearly 70 new tea growing area codes. This result shows that the implementation of Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated February 3, 2025, of the Provincial Party Committee on the development of the Thai Nguyen tea industry in the 2025-2030 period is being carried out effectively. According to the Resolution's objectives, by 2030, 70% of the province's tea growing area will be granted growing area codes.

Thai Nguyen currently has 132 tea growing area codes, covering an area of ​​over 1,120 hectares.

Thai Nguyen currently has nearly 24,000 hectares of tea plantations, with a projected production of 285,000 tons of fresh tea leaves in 2025. The province is implementing guidance, management, and supervision of 179 registered planting areas, including 132 tea planting areas covering over 1,120 hectares and producing more than 14,000 tons. The registered planting areas consistently adhere to established criteria, operate efficiently, and meet technical requirements.

Currently, the provincial authorities continue to provide support and supervision for opening new codes in localities, based on requests from individuals and establishments in the province.
