(Dan Tri) - "Seeing that scene, I couldn't help myself but didn't know how to help. I have a child around that age at home, I looked at it and cried, feeling sorry for the child", a woman in Ho Chi Minh City shared.

Recently, a clip appeared on social networks recording a scene of a boy digging through a trash can to find toys, touching netizens.

According to the owner of the clip, Ms. Kim Hue (living in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City), the incident happened at noon on August 14, on a road in Ward 13 (Tan Binh district).

"At that time, I was sitting in front of the shop when I saw a boy with messy hair, dirty clothes and face, approaching the trash can. At first, I didn't know what he was going to do, but suddenly he dug through the trash can, choosing the toys that were thrown there.

Seeing that scene, I paused for a moment because I was so heartbroken, but I didn't know what to do, so I used my phone to record this scene and posted it online so that anyone who knew about the child could help," said Ms. Hue.

Ms. Hue said she often saw the child begging with a man around Tan Binh district. She herself did not know if the child was being herded or not, so she did not dare to help.

"The boy was about the same age as my son, so when I saw that scene, I was very moved. While my son, although his family was not rich, still had his parents buy him toys regularly, the beggar boy was so destitute.

In one way or another, I want to inspire love and kindness in the community. For a long time, my family has always spent a few evenings a week giving out free food to the homeless, especially supporting street children like this," she confided.

The clip posted on social media has attracted more than 600,000 views and tens of thousands of interactions. Many people expressed their sadness at the sight of the boy having to dig through the trash to find his toy.

"I buy a lot of toys for my child, but sometimes he doesn't appreciate them. He plays with them for a while, then gets bored and throws them away. Seeing this scene, I feel so sorry for him. While other children are well taken care of, the boy in the clip can only quietly search for toys that others have thrown away," commented a social media account.
