(Dan Tri Newspaper) - "Seeing that scene, I couldn't help but feel heartbroken, but I didn't know how to help. I have young children around that age at home, and seeing it brought tears to my eyes; I felt so sorry for the little child," a woman in Ho Chi Minh City shared.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media showing a young boy rummaging through a trash can to find his toy, touching the hearts of netizens.

According to the owner of the clip, Ms. Kim Hue (residing in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City), the incident occurred at noon on August 14th, on a road in Ward 13 (Tan Binh District).

The boy picking up toys from the trash can moved netizens to tears (Image taken from a video provided by the interviewee).

"At that moment, I was sitting in front of my shop when I saw a little boy with messy hair, dirty clothes, and a grimy face approaching the trash can. At first, I didn't know what he was going to do, but suddenly he rummaged through the trash can, picking out discarded toys."

"Seeing that scene, I paused for a moment because I felt so sorry for the child, but I didn't know what to do, so I used my phone to record it and posted it online so that anyone who knew the child could help," Ms. Hue said.

Ms. Hue said she often saw the child begging with a man around Tan Binh district. She herself was unsure if the child was being exploited, so she hadn't dared to help.

"The boy was about the same age as my son, so when I saw that scene, I was very moved. While my son, even though our family isn't wealthy, still gets toys regularly from his parents, this beggar boy is so deprived."

"In one way or another, I want to awaken the love and generosity of the community. For a long time, my family has always dedicated a few evenings a week to distributing free food to the homeless, especially to support street children like these," she confided.

The clip, posted on social media, has attracted over 600,000 views and tens of thousands of interactions. Many people expressed their sympathy for the boy having to rummage through trash cans to find his toys.

"I buy so many toys for my child, but sometimes he doesn't appreciate them. He plays with them for a little while, then gets bored and throws them around. Seeing this, I feel so sorry for the little boy. While other children are well cared for, the boy in the clip can only silently search for toys that others have discarded," one social media user commented.
