Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thuan Hoa commune, confirmed that the incident occurred in the area on the afternoon of November 6th.

According to Mr. Hung, the entire span connecting the two pillars of the Lung Cang bridge over the stream has completely collapsed.

Reportedly, construction of the Lung Cang pedestrian bridge began on July 7th. The bridge is expected to be completed after 4 months of construction.

The cost of building the bridge is approximately over 3 billion VND, raised through social mobilization efforts by the district from organizations and individuals, with a portion contributed by Vi Xuyen district.

Currently, authorities have sealed off the scene and are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
