Rach Mieu 2 Bridge before opening day

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will officially open to traffic on August 19, ending a 3-year construction journey, with a total investment of 6,810 billion VND. With the role of "sharing the burden" for the current Rach Mieu Bridge, this new bridge promises to strongly promote the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta, shorten travel time and open up new opportunities for people on both sides of the Tien River.

On August 19, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge was officially opened to traffic. These days, every afternoon, many people take the opportunity to visit, take pictures, and admire the project.

People come to Rach Mieu 2 Bridge to see with their own eyes the large-scale project that is about to open to traffic.

The bridge has a scale of 6 lanes (4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles), design speed 80 km/hour.

Workers complete final items such as: Painting railings, installing traffic signs, and lighting systems.

Drainage locations at the approach road to Rach Mieu bridge are being urgently constructed on the afternoon of August 17.
