Roadside tree falls and injures one person

BTO-At around 9am on June 6, on Tran Quy Cap Street, Tien Loi Commune, Phan Thiet City, a roadside tree broke and fell on a woman.

According to people at the scene, the woman was sitting waiting for the bus at the bus stop on the sidewalk. When she was walking out onto the street, a large nearby rosewood tree suddenly broke and fell on her.

The fallen tree canopy covers part of the road.

Many people shouted and joined forces to lift the large tree trunk to pull the injured person out. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. According to observations at the scene, the trunk of the tree was about 0.5 meters in diameter, tall and had a large canopy.

The tree broke at the base of the tree, and the fallen tree canopy occupied part of the road. After the incident, local authorities sent a team to cut down the fallen tree to clear the scene and ensure safe traffic.
