Or you can look up detailed information of each bus route: departure time chart, stations passing through, as well as help people see the time the bus will arrive at any station, based on real-time data from the bus's GPS. In addition, thanks to BusMap, it will be easy to find the location of the bus stop near the user's current location, displayed visually on the map...

It is these "plus points" that have helped BusMap attract about 600,000 - 1 million new users each year.

It is necessary to say more about BusMap, this is a project designed by Le Yen Thanh himself in 2013, when this young man was still a student of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City. BusMap has successfully raised 1.5 million USD from Phenikaa Group and become the leading startup providing solutions for smart transportation in Vietnam.

During the Covid-19 outbreak (2020-2021), Phenikaa MaaS cooperated with the Public Service Center 1022 to deploy the Covid-19 epidemiological map to help people track the travel history of Covid-19 patients in Da Nang City and 17 provinces and cities nationwide. Thereby, contributing to the fight against the pandemic.

And recently, BusMap helped the "father" of this application, Le Yen Thanh, to have the honor of receiving the "Beautiful Youth" award from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union 2024.

Will strive to contribute more and better technology products

Sharing with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Le Yen Thanh said: “I feel happy and proud to receive the “Beautiful Youth” award for those who have contributed to the community. It can be said that this award is a recognition and motivation for me to try and make efforts to contribute more good technology products in the future.”

According to Le Yen Thanh, there are people working in technology who will focus on making money, creating products with revenue and profit to develop the economy . As for himself, when developing the BusMap application, he aimed to serve the community. "It can be said that BusMap is a product that supports the community, but does not bring much revenue to the company, while the operating costs are high. However, instead of considering BusMap a burden, I see it as a motivation for myself and my colleagues to contribute to the community," said Le Yen Thanh.

Le Yen Thanh shared a wish, which is to try to develop the company in other areas. From there, it will help the company maintain and develop better. “And when there are better economic resources, I will contribute more to BusMap. I myself still want to do more things for users who have been using BusMap. But currently there are not enough resources to be able to develop more interesting and better things for that application,” said Le Yen Thanh.

The 2024 “Beautiful Youth” Award is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with TCP Vietnam Company Limited. The award ceremony will take place in October 2024 in Hanoi.

Le Yen Thanh has made many contributions in recent years and was voted by Forbes Vietnam and Forbes Asia into the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022.

Currently, in addition to running a startup company with more than 30 employees, Le Yen Thanh is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Information Technology Association, a member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, contributing to the movement of developing startups and information technology in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general.

With Phenikaa MaaS, currently a startup providing many smart transportation solutions for transportation businesses in Vietnam such as: Vinbus, Vinfast, Becamex Tokyu, Da Nang City and Hanoi City.
