After a period of research, experts found more than 3,000 animal species living in Loch Ness. Among these, there are some species that are so small that it is difficult to observe closely with the human eye. Experts have to use modern technology to enlarge them for observation.

The team was unable to identify about 20 percent of the DNA samples taken from Loch Ness. However, they determined that none of the samples matched the DNA of any reptile like those described for the Loch Ness monster .
