According to the Daily Mail, heavy rains caused by Storm Alice have caused traffic chaos in Spain. Video posted shows locals and tourists in Catalonia having to move through "submerged" roads.
Trains running through the Mediterranean corridor from Barcelona and Valencia have been suspended until further notice.
Torrential water rushed through streets, sweeping away vehicles as it passed. Emergency services tried to rescue stranded motorists on a flooded highway outside the town of Amposta.

Other videos show valuable Lamborghinis and motorbikes nearly submerged in muddy water.
The storm hit Ibiza after devastating much of south-eastern Spain this week, including the Costa Blanca. Spain has been put on high alert after officials warned of an "exceptional danger".
Spain's AEMET weather agency has issued a red alert in Tarragona province, warning locals to prepare for 180mm of rain in 12 hours.
Santa Barbara Mayor Josep Lluis Gimeno described the situation as "very tense."
In the village of Godall, Mayor Alexix Albiol told local media: "All the cars on the streets near the ravine were swept away and scattered throughout the village."

Elsewhere, parts of Ibiza airport – which was completely shut down for nearly 90 minutes – were also temporarily closed to travellers after power was cut off as water flooded the terminal on October 11. Dozens of flights were cancelled.
In October 2024, nearly 240 people died in Spain after heavy rains caused flooding in the east and southeast of the country. The worst affected area was the southern suburbs of Valencia, where more than 220 people died.
