A new power bank called the Samsung Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack has just appeared in the WPC database, boasting Qi2 certification and a magnetic ring design on the back.
This is Samsung's first power bank to support direct magnetic attachment to phones, showing the company is closer than ever to adopting the magnetic wireless charging standard. The EB-U2500 model is described as having a light gray color, a simple design, and a circular magnetic ring compatible with the Qi2 standard.

Genuine Samsung Qi2 standard accessories are certified on the WPC website.
The device supports wireless charging up to 15W, which is consistent with the current Qi2 ecosystem speed standard. Some rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra might support 25W wireless charging, potentially making this battery less attractive to Ultra users. However, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, with their 15W standard, will be perfectly compatible with this accessory.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series may have improved wireless charging speeds.
Previously, a 25W magnetic wireless charger from Samsung leaked onto retail listings. And now, the appearance of the EB-U2500 power bank further reinforces predictions that the company is preparing for a major transition. With the Galaxy S26 launch just months away, the timing of this accessory's appearance is too perfect to be considered a coincidence.
This will also be a significant step towards Samsung's full compatibility with the rapidly growing Qi2 ecosystem, ending the need for users to rely on special cases for magnetic charging.
