Launched in the Vietnamese market on December 1st, the 2026 Mitsubishi Destinator SUV has attracted significant attention from consumers. Notably, approximately 2,000 purchase contracts for the Destinator have been completed within just one week of its launch.

Previously, it took the Xpander, the "sales king" of the MPV segment, 5 months to reach the 2,000-unit sales mark. The Xforce, a small B-segment crossover (CUV), took nearly 4 months.
The impressive figures show positive signals from the Vietnamese market for Mitsubishi Motors' true 7-seater SUV. The Destinator promises to meet all the essential needs of customers currently seeking an ideal family vehicle.

Reportedly, about 75% of customers ordering the Mitsubishi Destinator choose the top-of-the-line Ultimate version (listed price 855 million VND), while the rest opt for the Premium version priced at 780 million VND. In December, the Japanese manufacturer offered promotional prices for these two versions, at 808 million VND and 739 million VND respectively.

Currently, the Destinator is one of the most affordable models in the C-segment. This Mitsubishi model opens up a new segment as the only SUV with a 7-seater configuration priced at no more than 810 million VND. Other 7-seater CUV options like the Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan are priced at no less than one billion VND.

The Mitsubishi Destinator is currently imported from the factory in Indonesia. Current best-selling models such as the CX-5, Territory, and Hyundai Tucson are assembled domestically. The first shipment of Destinators arrived at dealerships in early December, ready for immediate delivery to customers before the Lunar New Year.
