Anadolu reported that the phone call between President Trump and the E3 leaders took place on December 10th. In a statement, the British government announced that Prime Minister Keir Starmer had spoken by phone with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and President Trump about "the latest developments in the ongoing US-led peace talks."
"Work on developing a peace plan is proceeding urgently and will continue in the coming days. The leaders agreed that this is a crucial moment – for Ukraine, its people, and for common security in the Euro-Atlantic region," the statement said.

Later, the White House confirmed to Anadolu that the phone call had taken place, but provided no further details about the content of the discussion.
"We've spoken on the phone with the leaders of Britain and Germany. They're all very good friends of ours. We've discussed Ukraine and are waiting for a response before we can continue," Trump said, adding that a meeting would take place this weekend in Europe, with representatives from both the US and Ukraine in attendance.
"We will make a decision depending on what they present. We don't want to waste time," he added.
In another development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on December 10 that Kyiv is finalizing a 20-point document outlining the terms for ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and intends to submit it to the United States soon.
Negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and European countries on a 20-point peace plan continue, after the original 28-point plan was shortened by removing provisions that Ukraine described as unsuitable for it.
