Born into a farming family with many siblings and economic difficulties, Y Pot (1988, Ede ethnic group, residing in Kla hamlet, Dray Sap commune, Krong Ana district, Dak Lak) has risen to become an outstanding young man of the village.
In 2012, Y Pot was admitted to a medical school in Da Nang . In 2015, Y Pot graduated and worked at several hospitals in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, then returned to Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital. At this time, Y Pot became the pride of his family and all the people of Kla village.

During his time working at Buon Ma Thuot City Hospital, Y Pot felt very comfortable and suitable for this job. However, because he had the idea of making a coffee brand for a long time, this young man still researched and cherished the dream of making coffee.
In early 2019, he surprised his family by deciding to quit his stable job to return to Kla village to start a business with 1.5 hectares of available coffee. This decision was met with fierce opposition from his parents and indifference from his siblings. The pressure from public opinion made the Y Pot family even more miserable.
Despite a lot of pressure from his relatives, Y Pot still worked diligently like a diligent bee to prove to his family the fruits of his labor.
Building a coffee brand that reaches the world
After quitting his medical career to start making coffee, Y Pot noticed that the Ede people enjoy coffee in their own way. When the harvest season comes, the Ede people pick each ripe coffee bean and bring it home to dry. After the shell is removed, the green coffee beans are roasted over an open fire.
Once roasted, the coffee beans are put into a mortar and pounded until smooth. Then, paper or cloth is used to brew coffee. The coffee has a smoky, rich flavor that is hard to describe, making Y Pot determined to create a coffee brand with "Ede flavor".
At this time, Y Pot spent time learning how his people processed coffee, then personally roasted and ground coffee with "Ede flavor" to give to friends and brothers, and was praised by everyone.
Seeing a good sign, Y Pot selected ripe coffee beans in his garden, roasted them, packaged them, and sold them. He continued to receive many orders that he did not expect.
After receiving many domestic orders, Y Pot established Ede Cafe Company Limited under his own name, then hired an independent unit to inspect, evaluate, and test soil, water, coffee beans, etc. As a result, Y Pot's coffee products were certified with HACCP and ISO 22000.
Since its products have been certified with HACCP and ISO 22000, Y Pot has boldly promoted its products at trade fairs, social networks, online channels, and distributed through agents...
Thanks to the ingenuity in business and brand promotion, Ede Cafe has created its own mark, a typical product of the Ede people.
Currently, Y Pot's company has orders of dozens of tons of coffee for export to the US market and several other countries.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, Y Pot said that when he quit his medical career, his whole family objected, however his dream was to build an Ede coffee brand so he was determined to do it.
According to Y Pot, from the beginning he wanted to make safe, quality coffee products, so he had to produce clean coffee in an organic way. Currently, Ede Cafe Company Limited has cooperated with 100 households with an area of up to 50 hectares of coffee in Kla hamlet and some other hamlets of Dray Sap commune.
According to Y Pot, all affiliated households must strictly follow the coffee production and harvesting process set forth by the company. Once the farmers have followed the process, all of their products will be purchased by the company at a higher price than the market price and they will be invested in fertilizer and materials without having to pay interest.
"During the coffee harvest season, I have to check each coffee tree. Only when it reaches 95% ripeness will I pick it. After picking, I have to manually select it again to ensure that the coffee beans meet my standards," Y Pot shared.
Y Pot also revealed that he set a target of achieving revenue of about 50 billion VND in 2025. It is known that E De Cafe Company Limited currently produces 10 coffee products and all processing formulas are researched by Y Pot. E De Cafe Company Limited is certified by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee as a typical rural industrial product. Robusta ground coffee products are granted a provincial OCOP product certificate...
Y Pot is in the top 100 most outstanding farmers in the country and received the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer 2022".
