Ban May Farm is not just a simple resort, but also a destination combining farming, experiential tourism , and photo opportunities, contributing to creating a unique "brand" for this region. Ban May Farm is not only a resort but also a destination that combines farm life, experiential tourism, and photo opportunities.
Aspiration stemming from journeys
Mr. Nguyen Van Chung shared that the idea for Ban May Farm arose from his field trips to famous tourist destinations such as Da Lat, Sa Pa, and Moc Chau. "As a native of Tam Dao, I noticed that this area lacked a spacious experiential space for tourists, instead of just offering typical resort services. While traveling, I saw many agricultural models combined with tourism that were very interesting and attractive, so I wanted to bring that idea back to my hometown."
With that determination, Mr. Chung began building Ban May Farm at the end of 2024. In just half a year, the model was completed and put into operation. After more than two months, the farm has become an attractive destination, drawing tourists to visit and explore . Especially on weekends and holidays, Ban May Farm can welcome 700 to 1,000 visitors per day.

For tourists, Ban May Farm is an ideal place to have fun, take photos for social media, and enjoy drinks. Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Mai, a tourist from Cao Phong commune, shared: "The space here is very beautiful, surrounded by hills and mountains. Here, I feel very relaxed after stressful days at work."

One of the most unique highlights of the farm is the Sheep Farm. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the green space, observe and interact with the sheep – an experience previously unavailable in Tam Dao. Le Nha Uyen, a young visitor from Bac Giang, excitedly recounted: "Here, I got to experience grass sledding, play with rabbits, and shoot arrows. I liked playing with the sheep the most; they were so cute. I hope to come here many more times."

Overcoming challenges and spreading passion.
Nguyen Van Chung's entrepreneurial journey was far from easy. The biggest challenges were the complex mountainous terrain, unpredictable climate, and labor shortage. "Transporting trees and livestock was very difficult, and the weather was erratic, affecting the care of crops and animals. There were times when livestock were lost due to harsh weather. However, I always persevered," Chung confided.

Mr. Duong Van Thang, a tourist from Bac Giang, said: "Today, my wife, children, and some colleagues' families came to experience the Tam Dao tourist area. At Ban May Farm, we experienced many services and games. My children, who had never interacted with these animals before, were very excited. I really hope that every year, during the summer, I will have the opportunity to bring my family and friends here to experience it again."

With a forward-thinking vision, Nguyen Van Chung hopes to further expand the scale of his operation, introducing new crops such as strawberries to Tam Dao to diversify the experiences for tourists. From the Ban May Farm model, he has not only built his own career but also contributed to promoting the image of Tam Dao to visitors from all over the world.
Nguyen Van Chung, a young man from the San Diu ethnic group, has shown that with creativity, a willingness to think outside the box, and love for his homeland, seemingly simple ideas can become a powerful driving force, creating sustainable values for the community and his hometown.
