Recently, in the article voting on cuisine in the category of the best porridge dishes in Asia by Taste Atlas , Vietnamese pork offal porridge was also on this list and ranked 6th.

Originally a popular dish in many regions of Vietnam, congee is popular with diners because of its affordable price and easy-to-eat taste. The dish is cooked from pork bone broth, rice, blood and pig organs such as liver, kidney, spleen, intestines or heart.

Unlike many other types of porridge, porridge with offal has a very distinctive dark brown color from pig's blood. Mixed in the porridge are the offal and sausage that are cut into small pieces. When enjoying, diners will use it with green onions, pepper or chili powder. Depending on the place, it can be eaten with basil leaves and a little fish sauce and chili for flavor.

In the list of the best porridge dishes in Asia, porridge with offal ranks 6th. Besides, beef porridge is also in the group of delicious dishes, ranked 17th.

Taste Atlas recommends that diners enjoy the beef porridge while it is still hot. Before eating, users should stir well so that the beef is cooked in the porridge and the flavors blend.

Besides, duck porridge is also an option for diners. The duck broth is used to cook porridge. This dish is popular on cold days, served with ginger fish sauce to warm the stomach.

The last Vietnamese porridge to be introduced is chicken porridge. The dish is described as a traditional porridge. Diners will eat it with boneless chicken and herbs. The flavor of chicken porridge is rich, suitable for health improvement.

It is known that this is not the first time Taste Atlas has written an article commenting on dishes in Vietnamese cuisine. Previously, on February 15, this site voted for vinegar-dipped beef to be among the 50 best dishes in Southeast Asia in 2023.

According to this site, the rankings are based on user reviews with the aim of promoting local dishes and should not be considered the sole conclusion about the dishes.

Taste Atlas currently connects with 9,000 restaurants around the world , sharing more than 10,000 dishes with global readers. These are the evaluation results from research by experts and world chefs.
