Large fire at a scrap yard in Sam Son.

On the afternoon of July 31st, information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa province indicated that at approximately 2:45 PM on the same day, a fire broke out at a scrap yard in Hung Thong residential area, Quang Tho ward, Sam Son city.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province dispatched 5 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.

Because the fire occurred near a residential area, authorities mobilized water tankers from Sam Son City Environmental Joint Stock Company to quickly extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to the residential area.

By over 3 PM the same day, the fire was brought under control and extinguished. The cause and extent of the damage are currently under investigation.
