A fire broke out on New Year's Eve, burning down many properties of Venus Vietnam Shoe Company.
On the morning of January 29 (the first day of Tet), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Trung district ( Thanh Hoa ) confirmed that a fire broke out at Venus Vietnam Shoe Company, causing great property damage.

Initial information, at around 11:30 p.m. on January 28 (ie the 29th day of Tet), the fire broke out in the company's material warehouse (containing processed shoe soles), then the fire quickly engulfed the entire warehouse.
Columns of smoke rose hundreds of meters high from the fire.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province mobilized many fire trucks and soldiers and officers to the scene.
Ha Trung District Police also mobilized all forces to participate in fire fighting. At about 4am on January 29, the fire was brought under control.
Because it was Tet holiday, there were no workers working, so there were no casualties. However, the entire warehouse was burned down, with estimated damage of several billion VND.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities.
