At midday, flames and thick black smoke engulfed a woodworking factory spanning thousands of square meters in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, causing chaos in the surrounding residential area.
By nearly 2 PM this afternoon (October 25th), authorities in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, finally brought the large fire at a wood factory located on To Ngoc Van Street, Linh Dong Ward, under control.

At just after noon that day, a fire broke out at a woodworking factory on To Ngoc Van Street, accompanied by thick black smoke.
Residents discovered the fire and tried to put it out but were unsuccessful. The woodworking shop contained many flammable materials, causing the fire to spread rapidly.
The factory fire occurred in the middle of a residential area, with thick smoke filling the air and causing panic among residents. Many people had to evacuate the area.


Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thu Duc City Police Department dispatched numerous officers and firefighters along with fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
According to a representative of the Linh Dong Ward People's Committee, the wood workshop where the fire occurred was in the process of being dismantled and relocated. At the time of the incident, workers were welding and cutting.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated.
