At the conference to announce the Planning of Nghe An province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; and to adjust the overall Master Plan for the construction of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone to 2040, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assessed that this event has important significance, creating a new momentum, spreading in attracting investment not only to Nghe An province but also to the North Central and South Central Coast regions.

Nghe An has the largest area in the country, located in a strategic position with many potential advantages, converging all natural elements like a "miniature Vietnam". The geographical position gives Nghe An an important role in connecting the North - South coastal economic corridor and the East - West economic corridor with neighboring countries Laos and Northeast Thailand.

This is a land of “spiritual land and talented people”, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh and many famous heroes, patriotic scholars, with a long revolutionary tradition, a glorious history, a culture imbued with identity, the homeland of Vi and Giam folk songs. In particular, the driving force and endogenous resources for development are high-quality human resources and talents; the spirit of self-respect, self-reliance, solidarity, love of learning, always valuing affection, solidarity, attachment... That affirms that Nghe An has enough potential, advantages and outstanding, different opportunities for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, at the same time playing an important role in the socio-economic development strategy, ensuring national defense and security of the North Central region and the Central Coast and the whole country.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that it is impossible to think and act in the old, usual way, each cadre, party member as well as each citizen of Nghe An must transform the strong desire for development, pride, love for the homeland and the spirit of innovation into every action and work to make the province a red address worth investing, contributing to, and experiencing. The planning has also created an ecosystem to unleash potentials and resources for development, through the development of the urban - industrial - service economic ecosystem; added value from land through infrastructure investment.

Once there is a Plan, there must be a plan for implementation, but more importantly, on the spatial illustration of Nghe An province, there must be a specific plan for construction, urban and rural areas; zoning, subdivision, etc. The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the Party Committee, Government and Leaders of Nghe An province must determine that the plan is unlocking potentials, thereby allocating local and State resources as well as mobilizing socialization; there must be many detailed plans to concretize this plan.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, firstly, to develop a specific plan for the planning, it is necessary to build priority projects, implement inter-regional and inter-provincial infrastructure projects; pay attention to social infrastructure, health, culture, digital infrastructure...

It is necessary to develop the Eastern economic corridors to promote the development of the Western region. Nghe An province has a very large mountainous area, so the province needs to consider development from a separate perspective, paying attention to forest cover; and paying attention to tourism development and low-carbon economy. The Deputy Prime Minister said that these are areas where carbon credits can be exchanged in afforestation and forest development.

Second, the effective use of State resources in infrastructure investment plays a leading role in promoting private investment. It is necessary to conduct good geological, hydrological and flood discharge surveys, and calculate the impacts of climate change right from the planning and project establishment stages to ensure sustainability and safety.

Nghe An needs to pay special attention to developing high-quality human resources, considering this as a breakthrough driving force, focusing on improving the quality of training facilities to train high-quality human resources and human resources in new fields. Nghe An's advantage in the future is not only in terms of land and labor but also in terms of a safe environment in business and production.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the key to Nghe An's success lies in its ability to mobilize its extremely strong human resources. The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the motto of 5 readiness (ready for investment site; ready for essential infrastructure; ready for human resources; ready for innovation, reform, substantial improvement of the investment and business environment and ready for support) that the Party Committee and the Government of Nghe An province have set.
