The cheapest Galaxy phone gets the One UI 8.5 update.

Samsung may bring One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy A07 5G before many other devices, surprising mainstream users.

Samsung began rolling out One UI 8.5 to older devices in early May, and dozens of models have since been updated. While the company shifts its focus to developing One UI 9, based on Android 17, the rollout of One UI 8.5 continues to expand to all eligible devices, including budget models.

Recently, Samsung brought One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy A07 5G – the company's most affordable 5G phone, launched earlier this year. According to SammyGuru , the stable version of One UI 8.5 is now available for the Galaxy A07 5G in many regions, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, before being updated to more locations soon.

This is the first major update for the Galaxy A07 5G, a phone that launched with One UI 8 based on Android 16. Samsung has also committed to providing six generational upgrades for the device, not including One UI 8.5.

Besides the Galaxy A07 5G, One UI 8.5 is also available for the Galaxy Tab A11 – another budget Android tablet set to launch in late 2025. However, this update is currently limited to South Korea but is promised to be rolled out globally soon.

Note that both the Galaxy A07 5G and Galaxy Tab A11 will receive One UI 9, although they may not be among the first devices to receive the update when it launches later this year.

In addition to the two devices mentioned above, Samsung has also released One UI 8.5 for many other A-series models, including the Galaxy A56, A55, A36, A35, A26, A17 (5G and LTE), and A16 (5G and LTE). Among tablets, the Galaxy Tab A11 Plus has also received the update, along with the higher-end S-series models. Currently, only a few devices have yet to receive the latest One UI interface.

If you own any of these devices, check for the latest One UI update by going to Settings > Software Update and tapping Check for updates. If an update is available, tap Install. Besides One UI 8.5, Samsung is also releasing the May 2026 security patch for devices that received the previous update.
