Speaking on behalf of the Party and State leaders at the reception, President Luong Cuong said that exactly 80 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the immortal Declaration, solemnly declaring to the entire nation and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, opening a new era - the era of independence, freedom and happiness for the Vietnamese people. Since then, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and beloved Uncle Ho, the entire Vietnamese people have united, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and achieved great achievements of historical significance.
To have an independent, free and happy Vietnam today, the President emphasized that the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army always remember and are deeply grateful for the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh; respectfully pay tribute to the previous leaders; heroes, martyrs; Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the country, compatriots and comrades who have devoted and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

On behalf of the State and people of Vietnam, President Luong Cuong expressed his deep gratitude for the wholehearted and righteous support that international friends, progressive forces and peace-loving people around the world have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the current cause of national construction and development. The President respectfully thanked the Ambassadors, Chargé d'Affaires and representatives of international organizations in Vietnam for their continuous efforts and positive contributions to strengthening the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese people and people of other countries.
Confident in the bright future, the President affirmed that with the will and burning desire to build a strong country, along with intelligence and resilience, the Vietnamese people will continue to conquer new heights, promote innovation, proactively integrate, light up and spread the flame of reconciliation, solidarity and international cooperation.

In a world full of changes, the President emphasized that the future and destiny of the Vietnamese nation are always closely linked to the future and destiny of nations around the world; affirming that Vietnam will continue to make efforts to consolidate and deepen friendly relations and cooperation with countries and partners around the world, making positive contributions to world politics, the global economy, and human civilization.
Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's saying that "The strength, greatness and endurance of the Vietnamese people are fundamentally in the solidarity of the Vietnamese people and the support of the people of the world. International solidarity is of great significance to us", President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam will continue to accompany and join hands with international friends to contribute to building a world of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
