The event is an opportunity for audiences to revisit the glorious traditions and cultivate love and pride for Hanoi, a city with a thousand years of cultural heritage, especially for the younger generation. Over the three days, audiences will enjoy free screenings of three representative films about the capital city, shown daily at 9:00 AM.
Specifically, on October 8th, the film "North of the Capital" (directed by Huy Thanh, produced in 1977) will be screened, telling the story of the brave workers who defended the Yen Phu Power Plant during the days when American bombs rained down on Hanoi.
On October 9-10, audiences were treated to "Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca" (directed by Dao Ba Son, Giai Phong Film Studio, 2010). The film, which won the Golden Kite Award, recreates the love story between the poet To Nhu and the singer Cam in the context of Thang Long at the end of the 18th century.
On October 10th, "Hanoi 12 Days and Nights" (directed by People's Artist Bui Dinh Hac, Vietnam Feature Film Studio, 2002) was screened. The film portrays the indomitable and creative spirit of the army and people of Hanoi in the victory of the " Dien Bien Phu in the Air" in 1972, and previously won the Silver Lotus Award at the 14th Vietnam Film Festival.
