Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, said that this year's Techmart aims to create an open networking space connecting businesses' green transformation needs.

"We expect the 2026 Techmart specializing in Green and Circular Technology to continue spreading the spirit of innovation for sustainable development; promoting many substantive technological connections; and accompanying businesses, localities, and Ho Chi Minh City in the process of green transformation and sustainable economic development," said Mr. Lam Dinh Thang.

According to reports, this year's Techmart brought together more than 100 technologies and equipment from nearly 50 research institutes, universities, and businesses, focusing on four key areas: green energy and energy saving; environmental treatment and circular economy; ESG monitoring, measurement, and governance; and green materials.

Businesses and organizations attending Techmart expect to reach more customers. Mr. Doan Xuan Khiem, Director of GreenCycle Vietnam Science and Technology Co., Ltd., introduced a high-tech algae cultivation model.

The algae cultivation model using technology was introduced at Techmart.

Mr. Khiem stated that the investment cost for an algae cultivation system is approximately under 300 million VND, depending on the scale. Most of the specialized equipment and components must be imported, mainly from Germany; only some simpler items like piping are handled domestically.

In terms of economic efficiency, the minimum profit that people can achieve is approximately 10 million VND per month after deducting expenses. At this level, the payback period is about 3 years; if managed well, the profit could be higher.

In terms of operation, harvesting can begin after about 6-7 days of rearing and can be maintained continuously. Water in the system is recirculated, only replenished when needed, minimizing replacement to ensure a closed-loop system.

"Currently, the model has been piloted at several universities, including Can Tho University," said Mr. Doan Xuan Khiem.

Mr. Mai Minh Man, Director of FUVITECH Technology and Design Co., Ltd., said that the company brought two green technology products to Techmart, the most notable of which is an air quality monitoring device.

This device was researched and developed by the company. It is capable of measuring indicators such as temperature, humidity, light, and CO2 concentration, and is currently being applied in vegetable cultivation models and office environments.

"This product also has the ability to integrate directly with the Zalo Mini App, allowing users to monitor data in real time," Mr. Mai Minh Man shared.
