The "Brother Says Hi" concert took place in early May under torrential rain at My Dinh Stadium ( Hanoi ), and most recently, on the evening of June 15th, the "Brother Overcomes Thousands of Obstacles" concert also encountered heavy downpours. The story of tens of thousands of people braving the rain to watch the concert once again sparked debate. While many believe this is a manifestation of excessive fanaticism, those involved assert that it is a moment of happiness they want to experience.

In fact, following the success of the two programs "Brother Says Hi" and "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles ," domestic fandoms have shown professionalism and a level of investment in male idols that is no less than that of international fans.
Following his hit song " Anh trai say hi," Công Dương's fandom organized his first fan meeting of his career on June 14th, with 250 guests. The fandom leader, Giang (30 years old, living and working in Thailand), spent nearly 40 million VND of her personal funds to cover the event's costs. Giang single-handedly handled the pre-production phase for three months, with the help of five friends during the program production stage.

Ms. Giang shared with VietNamNet: "Because I organized the fan meeting as a fan myself, I understand the psychology and needs of fans. Preparing everything myself presented many difficulties, but it helped ensure the closeness and intimacy of the event, unlike having a professional agency behind it."
Many people think that spending years brainstorming and a large sum of money on something meaningless is pointless. Few know that I went through a period of near-depression. From joining fandoms of Korean idol groups like Super Junior, to later establishing a fandom for Cong Duong, I've gained friends, a purpose in life, and motivation to develop myself. For me, 'following idols' is one of the rare things that brings me joy."

Idol culture in Vietnam is developing alongside meaningful social activities. Fandoms are becoming increasingly professional, learning from international models instead of engaging in "fanatical" or negative forms of adoration.
Sơn Tùng M-TP and his SKY fandom attracted attention when they donated 236 million VND to support flood victims after Typhoon Yagi, a donation recognized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front . Jack and his Đóm fandom carried out many charitable activities with a total value of over 1 billion VND, such as supporting the fight against Covid-19 and donating wheelchairs to child patients.

HIEUTHUHAI received a grand birthday celebration from his fandom, SUNDAYS, featuring a double-decker bus decorated with the project's logo and food trucks. Soobin's fandom, KINGDOM, hired MasterChef Vietnam judge and chef Tuan Hai to prepare 5-star restaurant-quality dishes to support his "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" concert.
Vietnamese fans also express their love for male singers through unique creations. The culture of "boosting views" for idols' products has become popular, with detailed instructions such as watching in HD mode, not fast-forwarding, and increasing the volume above 50%. Cover dances are also a popular form of entertainment among female fans. According to Koreaboo (South Korea), Vietnam has 9 out of the 20 most-viewed K-pop cover dance videos in the world .

After "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles ," People's Artist Tu Long received hundreds of letters from fans both domestically and internationally, along with countless handmade gifts such as bracelets, necklaces, and table lamps.
Cong Duong also received unique and unusual gifts such as a bank card with his picture printed on it, and a lottery ticket featuring the band Catch Me If You Can from the show "Brother Says Hi" . Speaking to VietNamNet, he revealed that he didn't have much recognition and didn't have as many fans supporting him as other "brothers" when filming "Brother Says Hi" . At that time, Cong Duong only encountered three fans shouting his name in Thai. After the show, witnessing 250 fans singing happy birthday to him at a fan meeting, he couldn't hold back his tears.
The performance of "Catch me if you can" at "Brother Says Hi":
The reality of showbiz today is different. The popularity and success of an idol largely depend on the support of their loyal fanbase.
In reality, singers cannot achieve millions of views and earn billions of dong annually, or even monthly, without their fans rallying together to boost views. Many singers who have had a negative influence on social media have also seen their careers ruined due to fan boycotts.
Therefore, entertainment companies acknowledge the slogan: "No fans, no stars." However, this 'symbiotic' relationship needs to develop in a way that fosters mutual support and cooperation. Fans do not have the right to completely control every action of their idols. Conversely, artists need to create a genuine and civilized fan community, avoiding 'exposing' each other on social media when negative issues arise.
