Due to the heavy rains in recent days, and with the rain continuing in the province, many areas in the eastern part of the province have experienced flooding and landslides, affecting transportation and people's lives. Authorities and local governments are urgently implementing emergency response measures, rerouting traffic, and assisting people in overcoming the consequences and ensuring safety amidst the complex weather developments.

Due to the impact of heavy rain, the A8 road area in Cua Khau village, Hoanh Mo commune, has suffered serious landslides, affecting the lives and daily activities of the local people.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ha, from Cua Khau village, said: "Heavy rain caused the road embankment to collapse into the river. As residents living near this area, we are very worried. We hope the local authorities and relevant agencies will soon handle and rectify the situation to ensure the safety of the people, especially since heavy rain is expected to continue in the coming days."

Authorities and local government officials were present to address the situation, warn residents, and ensure their safety.

At kilometer 23+100, the road connecting Binh Lieu and Hoanh Mo has suffered serious landslides.

Large rocks rolled down the road, obstructing and cutting off traffic.

Police officers from Road Police Force No. 3, Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, set up warning barriers…

…and reminded people not to pass through this area to avoid danger.

In addition, according to the review, there are currently many areas at risk of landslides and mudslides, posing a danger to the people.

On the morning of May 19th alone, four landslides occurred in the communes of Binh Lieu, Luc Hon, and Hoanh Mo.

Also this morning, May 19th, a landslide occurred on provincial road 330, specifically the section passing through Ba Chẽ commune.

The Road Police Force No. 3, Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, mobilized 100% of its personnel to ensure traffic safety and assist in handling landslides.

Landslides occurred at several points on the Hai Phong - Mong Cai expressway this morning, affecting traffic. Authorities quickly arrived to handle the situation.

Some flooded areas in Tien Yen commune have also been cleared by local authorities, functional forces, and residents this morning.

Currently, authorities and local governments are actively implementing remedial measures at landslide and flood-affected areas throughout the province. They are mobilizing personnel and equipment to clear landslides and drain water to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
