DTO - This was the request of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Thien Nghia, at a working session with the Provincial Digital Transformation Center and the Smart Operation Centers of Cao Lanh City and Hong Nguy City on the operational situation of these units, on the afternoon of June 1st.

Delegates attending the meeting exchanged views on many issues related to digital transformation.

The Provincial Digital Transformation Center intelligently monitors and manages three main pillars: digital government (5 groups of indicators), digital economy (6 groups of indicators), and digital society (7 groups of indicators); supports the information system of the industry and trade sector, synchronously deploys data of officials and civil servants to the national database of officials and civil servants, provides professional advice and information guidance for the education sector, participates in contributing professional opinions on building a digital agricultural platform, participates in implementing integrations from the provincial LGSP data exchange platform with the national population database, and implements training on cashless payments for students...

The Cao Lanh City Smart Operations Center conducted a trial operation from December 12, 2021 to December 12, 2022, under the leadership of the City People's Council and People's Committee Office. The center piloted 10 areas, with 5 systems currently providing real-time data. The city is urgently implementing the necessary procedures and documentation related to the bidding process for service procurement, aiming to bring the center into official operation soon. The city's implementation of the center closely adheres to the spirit of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution on Digital Transformation; the Dong Thap province's digital transformation plan for the 2021-2025 period; and the city's digital transformation programs and plans.

In the first months of 2023, the Hong Ngu City Smart City Operations Center organized 10 training courses with over 200 participants; and collaborated with Viettel Dong Thap to hold a conference updating knowledge on digital transformation for leaders of departments, agencies, mass organizations, and the People's Committees of communes and wards in the city. In 2021 and 2022, the Hong Ngu City People's Committee invested more than 9 billion VND to renovate and purchase equipment for the center (approximately 99% of the project progress has been achieved, with acceptance expected in June 2023). Currently, the center has 110 cameras operating stably, recording more than 100,000 traffic violations by citizens...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia emphasized that digital transformation is one of the province's breakthrough tasks, and all sectors and localities must actively implement it to contribute to promoting socio-economic development. The entire province is determined to make efforts to participate in digital transformation and has achieved noteworthy initial results, including the Provincial Digital Transformation Center, the Cao Lanh City Smart Operation Center, and the Hong Nguy City Smart Operation Center. These three units need close coordination with relevant sectors to maximize effectiveness, especially in data integration. Digital transformation must aim to better serve the people, create strong changes in various fields, and create momentum for the province to move forward. Sectors, localities, and units need to continuously update technology, build pilot models of digital transformation to quickly define and create uniformity in implementation.
