At the reception, on behalf of the State and People of Vietnam, President Vo Van Thuong warmly welcomed Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko on his official visit to Vietnam, highly appreciated the results of the talks between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko; believed that the first visit to Vietnam by the head of the Belarusian Government in the past 12 years would create a strong driving force for the development of multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus.
The President stressed that the Party, State and People of Vietnam always remember the wholehearted support and assistance that the Belarusian people have given Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of national construction and defense today.
President Vo Van Thuong was pleased to see that the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries continue to be promoted, creating an important foundation for developing cooperation in other fields such as economics, trade, investment, education, culture, and people-to-people exchange.
For his part, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko expressed his pleasure in his first official visit to Vietnam, highly appreciating the achievements in socio-economic development and enhancing the prestige in the international arena that the State and people of Vietnam have achieved in recent times. The Prime Minister affirmed that Belarus treasures the good traditional friendship between the two countries and considers Vietnam a priority partner of Belarus in the ASEAN region.
President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko agreed to urge ministries, sectors and localities of the two countries to effectively implement the agreements reached at the talks between the two Prime Ministers to further deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus.
On this occasion, President Vo Van Thuong sincerely thanked the leaders and Government of Belarus for always paying attention and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, work and study stably in Belarus.
