National Assembly Chairman: Ensure a resolute spirit, 'let's do it, not retreat'

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that on the basis of regulations and rules on assigned functions and tasks, agencies should perform their roles 'correctly and by heart'.

On July 31, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting with the Committee for Culture andEducation , the Committee for Social Affairs and the Delegation Work Committee on the performance of the agencies since the beginning of the 15th term, and the key directions and tasks until the end of the term. Concluding the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and commended the Committee for Culture and Education, the Committee for Social Affairs, the Delegation Work Committee... for their efforts, working day and night, days and nights, completing their tasks well, and handling tasks promptly and effectively. He stated that, in implementing the action program of the National Assembly Party Delegation, the agencies have so far completed 89/109 contents and tasks. Of which, the Committee for Social Affairs has completed 10/17 tasks; the Committee for Culture and Education has completed 6/6 tasks; and the Delegation Work Committee has completed 10/13 tasks. Of the 156 legislative tasks under Plan 81 and Plan 734 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Social Committee has completed 25/27 tasks; the Culture and Education Committee has completed 14/15 tasks; and the Delegation Work Committee has completed 4/5 tasks. The National Assembly Chairman said that despite the positive results, there are still limitations in coordination, planning is not close to reality, and implementation is not timely and scientific. He requested the committees and the Delegation Work Committee to be resolute and determined to overcome the limitations, "discuss and act, not retreat", ensure solidarity and unity within the organization, strengthen information security, and responsibility for speaking. With the spirit that the agencies of the National Assembly and the agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee must be exemplary, Mr. Man suggested that the agencies focus on rectifying working methods, arranging work scientifically, professionally, with focus and key points.

Regarding some key tasks in the coming time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested that agencies closely coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare content and build the expected program of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. Coordinate to advise on the organization of the 6th conference of full-time National Assembly deputies, speed up the progress of the remaining contents and projects in the action program of the National Assembly Party Delegation. Of which, the Social Committee still has 7/17 tasks, the Delegation Work Committee still has 3/13 tasks. Advise and serve the National Assembly Standing Committee to direct the review and develop plans to issue detailed regulations and instructions for the implementation of assigned contents in the laws and resolutions of the National Assembly. With the spirit that National Assembly agencies and agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee must be exemplary, Mr. Man requested that agencies focus on rectifying working methods, arranging work scientifically , professionally, with focus and key points. On the basis of the regulations and rules on assigned functions and tasks, the implementing agencies "play their roles and responsibilities". Along with that, continue to research, explain, absorb and revise draft laws and draft resolutions that have been commented on by the National Assembly at the 7th session for submission to the 8th session for approval... "We must continue to direct the review, innovation and improvement of processes and procedures in an increasingly scientific, practical, professional and effective direction. Review and consider policies and regimes to ensure that they are correct and meet the aspirations and wishes of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, especially effectively implementing the new salary policy from July 2024", the National Assembly Chairman stated.
