Chairman Tran Hung Huy: ACB has no plans to sell capital and IPO ACBS securities

On the morning of April 8, 2025, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HOSE: ACB) held the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders with reports on business plans, capital increase and profit distribution.

Responding to a shareholder's question about whether Asia Commercial Bank (ACB ) will continue its plan to sell capital and IPO ACBS Securities Company in the near future, Mr. Tran Hung Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB, said that in the past, ACB has also negotiated with partners to seek opportunities for ACB, but the bank has not yet found a suitable partner, so the bank has stopped this plan. At the same time, ACB also has no plan to IPO ACBS but focuses on promoting the completion and development of ACBS.

In the past time, ACB has increased capital for ACBS from 7,000 billion VND to 10,000 billion VND and is expected to increase another 1,000 billion VND for ACBS in April 2025. With strong financial potential, the Bank believes that ACBS will continue to grow steadily. In addition, ACB also increased the financial capacity of its affiliated fund management company... to exploit the market potential and increase profits.

Specifically, most recently, ACBS announced a Resolution on increasing charter capital. Specifically, ACB decided to increase ACBS's charter capital by 1,000 billion VND, from 10,000 billion VND to 11,000 billion VND. The entire amount will be contributed by ACB, expected to be implemented after being approved by the State Securities Commission.

It is known that ACBS is a subsidiary 100% owned by ACB of Chairman Tran Hung Huy. According to the Company's recently announced 2025 operating direction, the Board of Members approved the target of margin lending scale increasing by over 75%, estimated at VND 15,400 billion. The pre-tax profit plan for 2025 is to increase by over 60% to VND 1,350 billion before tax.

At the same time, ACBS plans to increase its total assets by over 25%, estimated at VND 32,850 billion; its equity by over 40% compared to 2024, estimated at VND 13,315 billion.

In 2024, ACBS recorded total operating revenue of VND2,534 billion, up 51% over the previous year. As a result, after-tax profit was VND683 billion, up nearly 73% over 2023.
