Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan visited the experimental model of Kinh Bac KB 995 rice variety, implemented by Dai Anh Dung Bac Ninh Group Joint Stock Company in An Thinh commune. This is a new rice variety, being tested, with advantages such as: High yield, high quality, reducing the amount of rice seeds sown to 80 - 100kg/ha, using organic fertilizer, reducing 20% ​​of irrigation water compared to traditional farming, applying sustainable farming processes, the amount of straw emissions after harvest is reused, environmentally friendly.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan requested relevant agencies to determine the area and boundaries of raw material growing areas associated with high-tech agricultural development.

During the field survey, the Company proposed the Kinh Bac Rice Factory Investment Project, ensuring product consumption, with an expected scale of about 6 hectares, capacity after 2 phases reaching 750,000 tons of rice/year, serving the domestic and export markets. The project is implemented to ensure efficiency and environmental protection. The Company proposed that Bac Ninh province create conditions for the Factory to soon deploy construction and put into operation, creating conditions to expand the raw material area when the rice variety is licensed and proves its effectiveness.

After a field survey, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that Bac Ninh province always sets sustainable development as the highest goal, promotes comprehensive development of industries, balances the structure of the economy , and wishes to have breakthroughs to create brands for domestic and local enterprises. In the coming time, the province will prioritize the development of private enterprises, especially in the fields of science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation, in order to exploit internal strengths, including agriculture, because in all circumstances, agriculture is always the pillar of the economy. Expressing concerns in promoting agricultural development, especially in the field of high-tech agriculture and specialized processing, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that investment in agriculture must be systematic from the beginning, not fragmented or small-scale, developing high-tech agriculture associated with commodity production, developing concentrated raw material areas, ensuring the harmonious interests of 4 parties: the State, businesses, people and scientists.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the province always supports ideas of applying science and technology to production, especially in the agricultural sector to create products with the characteristics of Bac Ninh. In that spirit, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned Luong Tai district to coordinate with the Department of Construction to complete the determination of the area and boundaries of raw material growing areas by April 18 at the latest. At the same time, provide information on preferential policies for high-tech agricultural development in Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts and other agricultural development support policies of the province for businesses to grasp and access. The Department of Finance coordinates with the Department of Construction to advise on planning work. The Department of Agriculture and Environment assigns leaders and specialized departments to closely follow and coordinate with Luong Tai district to support businesses in successfully implementing the model, creating rice varieties with the province's brand.
