Dak Lak has just announced the admission scores for 53 public high schools across the province (before merging with Phu Yen ). In this list, many schools have incredibly low admission scores.

Specifically, Hai Ba Trung High School has a benchmark score of 2.5 points; Krong Bong High School has 2.75 points; Cao Ba Quat High School and Phan Dang Luu High School both have 3.75 points; Krong Ana High School has 4 points... With this benchmark score for the 3 subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Language, candidates only need to achieve from 0.83-1.33 points/subject to be admitted.

The whole province has only 8 public high schools with admission scores above 10 points, of which the highest is Le Quy Don High School with 19.5 points. Next is Chu Van An High School with 15.25 points.

Apart from Dak Lak, this year in many localities, the benchmark scores for grade 10 are very low. Candidates only need to score 1.53-1.6 points per subject to be able to pass the public high schools in the area.

In Quang Ninh , the admission scores for public high schools range from 4.6 to 21.6 points. The schools with the highest preliminary admission scores include Hon Gai High School (21.6 points), Cam Pha High School (19.7 points) and Ngo Quyen High School (19.3 points). Binh Lieu High School has the lowest admission score of 4.6 points, meaning that candidates with an average of only 1.53 points per subject can be admitted.

In Binh Dinh , the school with the highest admission score this year is Quoc Hoc Quy Nhon High School (22.5 points). The school with the lowest admission score is Tran Quang Dieu High School with 5 points, meaning that candidates with an average of only 1.6 points/subject can be admitted.

In Lai Chau , the benchmark score for grade 10 is from 4.75 to 23.75 points. Among non-specialized public schools, Dao San High School (Phong Tho district) is expected to have the lowest entrance score, only 4.75 points, meaning that candidates are expected to only need to score nearly 1.6 points per subject to be admitted.

Five other high schools in this province are also expected to have a benchmark score below 10, including: Quyet Thang High School (6 points), Muong Kim High School (8 points), Tan Uyen High School (8.25 points), Muong Than High School (9 points), and Nam Nhun High School (9.25 points).

This benchmark score is expected before the review. Lai Chau Department of Education and Training will announce the adjustment if there is any change from the review results of the exam.

In Ho Chi Minh City , the highest admission score for public grade 10 this year is at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School (District 1) with 24.5/30 points. The following high schools are Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (23.75 points); Nguyen Thuong Hien, Nguyen Huu Huan (23.5 points); Practicing High School - University of Education, Nguyen Huu Cau (23 points); Tran Phu (22.75 points); Phu Nhuan (22.5 points); Bui Thi Xuan, Le Quy Don, Mac Dinh Chi (22.25 points).

Notably, this year, there are 14 high schools with the lowest standard score of 10.5 points (equivalent to 3.5 points/subject).

In Hanoi, the city's schedule for announcing exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 is scheduled to be between July 4 and July 6. Many experts predict that the admission scores for each subject may increase slightly by 0.25-0.5 points because this year's exam questions are relatively moderate.

However, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized that the final benchmark score depends on many factors such as the competition rate and the quality of candidates from each school. All predictions are for reference only, the exact results will be announced after the completion of the exam marking and review meeting.

The 10th grade exam for the 2025-2026 school year is the first year of enrollment according to the 2018 general education program. According to the regulations on enrollment in junior high school and high school issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, there are 3 methods of enrollment in grade 10: entrance exam, selection, or a combination of entrance exam and selection. The selection of the enrollment method is under the authority of the locality.
Regarding the entrance exam method, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that there will be 3 subjects and exams, including: Math, Literature and a third subject or exam selected by the Department of Education and Training. The third subject is selected from among the subjects assessed by scores in the general education program at the secondary school level, ensuring that the same subject is not selected for more than 3 consecutive years.
This year, most provinces and cities organize entrance exams for grade 10 with three subjects: Math, Literature, and English.
