The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a decision to transfer vocationaleducation and continuing education centers under the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training for management from July 1, 2025.

Currently, there are 29 vocational education and continuing education centers in the city. According to the decision, along with the transfer of the status quo to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the centers will be renamed to match the local name for ease of management and identification.

For example: Thanh Xuan District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center will become "Thanh Xuan District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center; Chuong My District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center will become Chuong My District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center...

After receiving, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is the governing body, responsible for organizing and arranging the organizational structure and personnel at the centers, including appointing leadership and management positions according to authority; arranging staff, teachers, and workers in accordance with the needs and actual conditions of each unit. The Department will also guide the development of working regulations, specifying the functions, tasks, and powers of professional groups.

In addition, the Department will review and evaluate the current status of each center after receiving it in order to propose additional investment in facilities and equipment, and at the same time adjust the operating mechanism according to the new management hierarchy and current legal regulations.

The handover will take place in its original state, without disrupting teaching and management activities at the centers. The decision also assigns relevant departments and branches to coordinate in implementing the above content.

The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for providing guidance on the organization and personnel during the transfer process; the Department of Finance coordinates in adjusting the budget estimate, providing guidance on assets and finance; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment provides guidance on completing procedures on land use rights and assets attached to land; the Department of Construction provides guidance on receiving and handing over the centers' headquarters.

Vocational education and continuing education centers are responsible for self-reviewing, compiling statistics and synthesizing all relevant factors; quickly stabilizing the organization of activities, rearranging headquarters, funding, teaching equipment, and rebuilding internal regulations in accordance with the new mechanism.

Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers in Hanoi are allowed to use the current seal until July 10, 2025 to ensure that administrative and teaching procedures are maintained smoothly.
