Hanoi: Bat Bat High School received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.

TPO - At the 60th anniversary celebration of Bat Bat High School (Hanoi), on the morning of November 16, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran Luu Hoa presented Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to teachers and students of the school.

Bat Bat High School is the first high school of Bat Bat District (former Ha Tay Province). Established in 1965, from a thatched and bamboo school with 2 classrooms, 97 students and 5 teachers, evacuated to many places, now the school has been invested in spacious classrooms, training thousands of students each year.

Mr. Vu Minh Son, former principal of Bat Bat High School, was moved to tears on the day he returned, witnessing the changes from the spacious classrooms and generations of mature students returning to meet and review the days when teachers and students taught and studied in difficult times.

"In 1954, I left the army and studied pedagogy. After that, I was assigned to the school as principal, and together with the teachers, I built the school. Through many evacuations, I was still determined to teach well and study well," said Mr. Vu Minh Son.

Generations of teachers and students of the school gathered on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its founding on the morning of November 16.

During the war, not only did they excellently complete their teaching and learning tasks, many teachers and students also put down their pens and went to war, contributing their blood and bones to the cause of protecting and unifying the country.

From 1975 to 1986, with the spirit of overcoming difficulties, teachers and students together "burned lime and baked bricks" to build many grade 4 classrooms, practice laboratories, administrative areas, teachers' dormitories, and increased the size of the classrooms.

Up to now, the school is proud to have trained nearly 18,000 high school graduates, including 2 associate professors, nearly 60 doctors, over 800 masters... Many students are now scientists, lecturers, journalists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, businessmen, police officers , military officers... contributing day and night to building their homeland and country.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Principal of Bat Bat High School, said that every year, the high school graduation exam results are 100%, more than 60% of students are admitted to universities and colleges, many of whom have high scores of 28-29, passing to top schools. Many students won first, second, third prizes... in the City's excellent student exam.

In addition to promoting the quality of lessons, the school also promotes educational activities to develop students' abilities, qualities, and early career orientation. Encourage students to participate in intellectual playgrounds such as Robocom, scientific and technical research...

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Luu Hoa, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, emphasized that during 60 years of teaching, the results of Bat Bat High School and other schools have made proud contributions to the glorious history of Hanoi Capital Education.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training expressed their emotion because the school was built during the war with countless difficulties and hardships in an area with "not very favorable" conditions, but generations of teachers always convey the message of dedication, devotion, enthusiasm, and commitment to teaching and educating people.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran Luu Hoa presented Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to teachers and students of the school.

"That's why, even though the entrance scores are not high, the output results are very impressive, each generation of students has grown up and become famous in many fields," said Ms. Hoa.

The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also hopes that today's teachers will continue to teach students with all their heart, dedication, love for the profession, and inspire passion and scientific creativity. On the occasion of November 20 this year, 5 teachers with outstanding achievements also received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.
