Ms. Tran Thi Linh is a simple teacher, has many great contributions, is a typical example of "Good people, good deeds" in the Hanoi education sector.
Breathing life into school sports
In 2001, Ms. Tran Thi Linh officially started working at Phan Dinh Giot Primary School (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi , old). She was in charge of teaching Physical Education - a subject that has long been considered secondary, with little investment in both time and emotion. However, she did not see it as a disadvantage, but on the contrary, as a place to sow positive values for students.
For Ms. Linh, physical education is not just about stretching, running, and jumping, but also a means of educating team spirit, discipline, and will to live. Each lesson, under her creative hands, becomes a creative playground - where children can exercise, laugh, challenge themselves, and conquer themselves.
Instead of repeating dry exercises, Ms. Linh incorporates lively games: "Overcoming obstacles", "Team jumping rope", "Relay racing", "Flag raising support", or "Physical treasure hunt"... combining music and storytelling, making students excited as if they were participating in a joyful picnic. Physical education, thanks to her love for the job and creative thinking, is no longer a compulsory obligation, but an expectation.
Lam Khai, a 5th grade student, excitedly said: "Ms. Linh's Physical Education class is fun and relaxing. She lets us play, learn, and compete too!"

Ms. Tran Thi Linh received a certificate of merit from the excellent teacher contest awarded by the Hanoi Education Trade Union.
In particular, Ms. Linh is also sensitive in discovering students' talents. Nguyen Phan Huy - a student who won second prize in the district chess competition - remembers: "Ms. Linh was the first person to discover that I had a talent for chess since grade 3. She encouraged me to join the club and let me compete with older students to practice. Thanks to her, I have achieved the results I have today."
Under her guidance, many students have shone at large and small sports competitions. In the 2023-2024 school year, Phan Dinh Giot Primary School students won 23 prizes at the district student sports competition - an impressive achievement. In the role of "conductor" of the movement, Ms. Linh has quietly spread the fire, turning school sports into a cultural highlight - where each young athlete is not only healthy but also confident, brave and ambitious.

Under the guidance of Ms. Linh, many students have achieved high results.
Spread love
Not only shining in teaching, Ms. Linh is also a torch silently spreading the warmth of humanity. In 2021, she founded the Hanoi Solidarity Volunteer Club with a simple but tolerant wish: "leave no one behind". Since then, the flame of kindness from the heart of that little teacher has warmed many quiet lives.
Nearly 40,000 free meals were delivered by her and the club members to cancer patients at Thanh Tri K2 Hospital - those who are struggling with physical pain and mental exhaustion. But she not only gave food, but also companionship. During the most uncertain days, she was like a loving support - quietly sitting by, listening, comforting with a smile and gentle eyes.
Her volunteer journey did not stop in the capital. She crossed long distances, high mountains, cold rain and forests, leaving footprints on remote villages in Yen Bai, Lao Cai... She brought books, warm clothes, candy, food... but above all, she brought a heart full of love and ideals for her beloved juniors. In the cold of the mountainous region, her gentle hugs, affectionate eyes and words of encouragement were like small fires warming many young souls.
The precious thing is that her kind heart has spread and awakened compassion in the school community. The teachers, parents and students of Phan Dinh Giot Primary School have joined her in writing kind stories. Warm clothes, boxes of crayons, notebooks - small but full of love - were carefully wrapped by the students to give to poor friends. She often said gently but meaningfully: "Doing good is a joy. And the happiest thing is when you can sow the seeds of sharing in children's hearts. While helping friends, you also give them the opportunity to grow up with kindness."
Journalist Hoang Ngoc Chau - Club advisor - emotionally said: "Ms. Tran Thi Linh is the soul of Hanoi Ket Doan. Her dedication and kindness not only helps thousands of people, but also strongly inspires the community, especially the youth" .
Not only living a beautiful life in her career and in society, Ms. Linh is also a pillar of the residential area where she lives. As Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of Residential Group 7, she is always an exemplary leader in all movements, wholeheartedly mobilizing donors to support poor households, connecting with benefactors to build warm homes.

Teacher Tran Thi Linh's physical education class is full of joy.
The title "Outstanding Citizen" of the residential area is a recognition of her quiet and persistent contributions, just like the way she lives: no ostentation, no frills, just right and enough for a decent life.
Inspire healthy living, kind living
I - an IT teacher transferred from a suburban district to Phan Dinh Giot Primary School. In the early days, still confused and worried, I was lucky to meet Ms. Linh - a colleague who was always gentle, caring and proactive in asking: "Are you having any difficulties? Do you need any support?" .
Ms. Linh not only accompanies me in the professional team, but also transmits to me and many colleagues a positive and healthy life energy. She also often jokingly reminds: "Living in today's society, being physically healthy is not enough, the garden of the heart also needs to be cared for and fertilized to grow well." It is that seemingly simple reminder that has become the motivation for us to change.
Thanks to her, I started to form the habit of waking up early to exercise, learning how to balance work and self-care. Living positively is not just a slogan, but a journey that starts from very small things, like a cup of warm water in the morning, a smile for students, or a day of volunteering with her in the highlands. Also thanks to volunteering with her, I had the opportunity to give more, even more actively in donating blood.
Ms. Linh - the eldest sister of the pedagogical council, is not noisy, not ostentatious, just quietly sowing in people's hearts the fire of living healthy, living beautifully and living usefully. In the eyes of students, she is a second mother, strict but always tolerant. In the hearts of colleagues, she is a teacher who inspires, inspires by her own kind and sincere way of living every day.
Ms. Linh is a teacher of the new era, not only breathing life into school sports, but also teaching how to live with love, responsibility and a kind lifestyle through her own life.
With more than twenty years of teaching, Ms. Linh has been awarded many titles: Second prize for excellent teaching at the city level, the title "Good person, good deed" of Thanh Xuan district (2021, 2024), and a certificate of merit "For innovation in teaching and the movement to encourage learning". But for her, the greatest reward is the love of her students, the respect of her colleagues, and the gratitude of the community.
