What's special about the biggest vegetarian food festival in Ho Chi Minh City before the opening?

(NLDO) – With more than 100 vegetarian food stalls, the festival hopes to educate the young generation about a "green, healthy" lifestyle.

The 2025 Vegetarian Food Festival will open on the evening of November 1 at Binh Phu Park (HCMC) and last until November 4. This year's event will focus on the young generation with the message of a "green, clean and environmentally friendly" lifestyle.

This year's festival has many new and unique features compared to previous years, notably the organization of a series of creative competitions such as the "Green Drink Mixing" competition with the message "Drink for nutrition", along with the "Beautiful Moments" and "Emotions about Vegetarianism" competitions designed to increase interaction and spread the event's message.

The event also made a good impression on international experts. Ms. Marly Winckler, founder of the Brazilian Vegetarian Association and Honorary President of the International Vegetarian Alliance, expressed her impression of the vegan movement in Vietnam.

"I'm very impressed with veganism in Vietnam. Because I can see it's expanding a lot. And this fair is great because there are students from all over Vietnam competing in cooking vegan dishes. So this is a very important thing because it helps them learn more about vegetarian cuisine " - Ms. Marly Winckler, founder of the Brazilian Vegetarian Association and Honorary President of the International Vegetarian Alliance expressed.

With nearly 150 booths from about 120 businesses, the festival is expected to become an annual event, symbolizing the vegetarian culinary industry of the city and the whole country.

One of the highlights that attracted great attention at the festival was the vegetarian buffet. According to the organizers, the number of tickets sold online has reached over 1,000 tickets/day and the total number of tickets sold is expected to be from 2,000 to 3,000 tickets. The buffet is served at a price of 149,000 VND for lunch (10:45 am - 1:30 pm) and 199,000 VND for dinner (4:30 pm - 8:30 pm).
