According to the announcement from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai suffered a pain in his calf after a collision with an Uzbekistan player. However, doctors have not been able to determine the exact extent of the midfielder's injury. On the morning of October 14, doctors will take Quang Hai to the hospital for an X-ray to check his condition.

Previously, defender Ho Van Cuong suffered a torn eyelid and needed 7 stitches after a collision with a Chinese player in the match on October 10. In the match against Uzbekistan, Van Cuong was not registered to play. Van Lam, Ngoc Hai, Tuan Anh and Viet Hung all sat in the stands due to health reasons.
