Preparing conditions for merger into the new Lam Dong province Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association

This is the task set by the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Lam Dong province (Association) at the 5th Executive Committee Meeting, term II to review the Association's activities and work in the first 6 months of the year; and propose directions for activities in the last 6 months of 2025, which took place on the morning of June 24 in Lam Dong.

According to the report at the Conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the Association has synchronously deployed key tasks, especially in people's foreign affairs, strengthening the organization and developing members.

Notably, the Association coordinated with the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command to welcome the delegation of the Military Sub-region of Seam Reap Province (Cambodia) to visit and celebrate the traditional Vietnamese New Year; participated in the working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong Province to exchange and work with the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Fatherland of Seam Reap Province. On the occasion of the traditional New Year of Cambodia and Laos, the Association organized a visit and presented gifts to officers of the Royal Cambodian Army and the Lao Army studying at the Army Academy.

The Association at all levels always cares for the spiritual life of its members through charitable activities, visiting members in difficulty, organizing exchanges, and sharing experiences in Association work. Officials and members actively participate in campaigns and emulation movements, contributing to the task of local socio -economic development.

At the same time, the Association focuses on coordinating propaganda and education on the tradition of solidarity between the two countries; enhancing political mettle and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" among members; spreading the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia among cadres, members and the younger generation.

The conference also discussed plans to reorganize the Association according to new commune-level administrative units, towards establishing branches at commune and ward levels across the province.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Association will focus on implementing the tasks set out in the Resolution and preparing for the merger into the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Lam Dong province (new), ensuring stable and effective operations in the new situation.
