Stock market October 31: Unpredictable fluctuations?

(NLDO) - After the 16-point loss on October 30, VCBS Securities Company warned investors to closely follow each fluctuation to promptly restructure their stock portfolio.

At the end of the session on October 30, the VN-Index closed at 1,669 points, down 16 points (equivalent to 0.96%).

In the morning trading session on October 30, large-cap stocks in the Vingroup group (VHM, VIC, VRE) continued to put strong pressure on the VN-Index. On the contrary, some individual stocks such as VJC,FPT , MSN still attracted cash flow. The bright spot was the cash flow into some stocks in the real estate industry (KDH, KHG, HDC, NLG) and livestock farming (HAG, ANV).

In the afternoon session, the market continued to be immersed in red. Increasing selling pressure in the banking and consumer groups, along with the narrowing of the increase of VJC and FPT, caused the VN-Index to fall below the 1,665 point mark.

However, in the second half of the afternoon session, bottom-fishing demand in large-cap stocks in the banking and securities sectors helped the index to partially narrow the decline. Red still dominated with 175 stocks decreasing - 148 stocks increasing on the HOSE; liquidity weakened compared to the previous session, showing that active buying demand was still weak. Foreign investors sold a strong net of VND 1,152 billion, concentrated in stocks VIX, GEX, MBB.

At the end of the session, VN-Index closed at 1,669 points, down 16 points (equivalent to 0.96%).

According to Vietcombank Securities Company (VCBS), cash flow is diverging and has not really spread strongly. In the context of large fluctuations and clearly out-of-phase industry groups, VCBS recommends that investors closely follow market developments to promptly restructure their portfolios if there are sudden strong fluctuations. At the same time, it is necessary to proactively reduce the ratio of financial leverage, maintain purchasing power and stable psychology to take advantage of swings in surfing, and seek short-term profits.

Some other securities companies said the market is in a period of strong fluctuations. Investors need to continuously monitor the developments of the October 31 session and only disburse when there are clear signals of buying the bottom of stock prices.
