The Buon Le Brocade Weaving Club (Lien Son town, Lak district) has 13 members who are M'nong R'lam ethnic women. Established in October 2023, the club has been operating stably, creating jobs and a steady income of 3 - 5 million VND/month for its members.

Ms. H'Sen Hmok Du, Club President, said that with the enthusiastic teaching of artisans, members have gradually grasped the basic techniques and are now able to weave brocades with diverse patterns, colors, and images, imbued with the identity of the M'nong R'lam people.

“By joining the club, women not only have more income to improve their lives, but also become active factors in promoting and spreading love, responsibility and awareness of preserving culture to the community, joining hands to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the nation,” Ms. H'Sen confided.

Women's Union members of Yang Tao commune (Lak district) participate in local activities.

Lak district currently has 24 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities account for over 63% of the district's population. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich, Chairwoman of the Lak District Women's Union, said that women are important subjects in creating and enriching traditional cultural values and transmitting and disseminating cultural values through generations. In recent times, the Lak District Women's Union has carried out practical activities such as promoting and mobilizing ethnic minorities, especially women, to participate in cultural and artistic activities, wearing traditional costumes at festivals; teaching brocade weaving, weaving, making handmade pottery and mobilizing women to participate in gong playing classes.

Living in Ako Dhong village (Tan Loi ward, Buon Ma Thuot city), the first community tourism village in the province, Ms. H'Rul Nie not only preserves the long house and many traditional objects but also introduces the typical culinary culture of the Ede people to a large number of people and tourists.

According to Ms. H'Rul, for the Ede people, cuisine is not simply food or drink, but also contains cultural and spiritual values, reflecting the living habits of the community. Therefore, from just cooking for parties or according to orders from tourist groups, Ms. H'Rul opened a restaurant and added to the menu daily rustic dishes such as beef jerky, flour soup, bitter eggplant salad with dried fish, crushed papaya with yellow ants, stir-fried cassava leaves... so that people and tourists can have more interesting experiences.

Implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Women's Congress, term 2021 - 2026 on building models/types of activities to preserve and promote national cultural identity, currently, the Women's Union at all levels has established and coordinated to build and maintain the effective operation of nearly 400 models/clubs such as "Healthy and beautiful women", "Women's gong team", "Ching kram sound", "Green garden longhouse"...

The Ede Bih women's gong team in Buon Trap town (Krong Ana district) participates in performances at local programs.

Every quarter and on the occasion of important events of the country, locality, and association, the units have organized for members, women, especially ethnic minority women, to perform on music with traditional costumes; perform dances and songs with strong identities; organize competitions of "lullabies", "cooking", "family meals"... to promote and develop the unique culture of ethnic minorities to the community.

In particular, some female entrepreneurs in the province have linked the development of community tourism and experiential tourism with the exploitation and promotion of the value of indigenous culture, both developing the economy, creating jobs, and contributing to promoting and introducing the beautiful cultural identities of ethnic groups in the province to tourists from all over the world.
