Large global banks and financial institutions have made general commitments and stepped up efforts, but have not yet provided a specific roadmap to stop providing credit to projects using fossil fuels.
Mr. Su admitted that green growth still has many conflicting views, so how to deal with it, what is the scope, what is the appropriate development strategy is the question of many countries? According to Mr. Do Van Su, while we still have to eat, wear, and consume every day, how can we green ourselves to reduce emissions without affecting economic development? The theme of the workshop by Thanh Nien Newspaper is very good and very relevant. In the national plan on action towards green growth announced by the Government , 4 groups of goals have been set. The first is to reduce emissions of the entire economy; the second is to green industries; the third is to green lifestyles and promote sustainable consumption; the fourth is to green the transition process.
Mr. Do Van Su emphasized: In the process of implementing green growth, there are two main subjects: the state and organizations and enterprises participating in the production process. What challenges does the state face, what should it do? What challenges and difficulties do enterprises themselves face? Vietnam has proposed a set of indicators for evaluating green growth, which has surprised international partners because it is not a leading country but is very active in the implementation process. "I hope the workshop will also delve into a section of this issue. The opinions of experts and localities, which are the agencies implementing strategies and plans, will be important inputs, laying the foundation for policy advisory and research agencies," said Mr. Do Van Su.
