Stemming from that meaning, on May 10th, the program "A Thousand Steps - A Million Healthy Hearts," organized by the Vietnam Diabetes Educators Association in collaboration with Duc Giang General Hospital and Viet Hung Ward (Hanoi), with the support of Vinamilk Vietnam Dairy Joint Stock Company, took place at Long Bien Park, Viet Hung Ward (Hanoi).
The program was organized to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Elderly People and in response to the Month of Action for the Elderly.

Opening the program, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, shared: "Currently, non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and stroke are increasing and becoming a major challenge for public health care. Many diseases are tending to affect younger people due to sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy living habits, and the pressures of modern life. Therefore, the Hanoi health sector always identifies disease prevention, raising community awareness, and building a healthy lifestyle as the most sustainable and effective solutions. Everyone should proactively take care of their own health through small actions every day. Every step today is not only a physical activity, but also a symbol of a healthy, positive, and responsible life towards oneself, family, and community."
Therefore, the "Thousand Steps - Million Healthy Hearts" program is not just a community walking activity, but also a health communication campaign aimed at raising awareness about stroke prevention, cardiovascular complications, and diabetes through physical activity and positive lifestyle changes, becoming a bridge to spread the spirit of healthy living and proactive health care in the community.

The highlight of the program was a community walk with the participation of numerous doctors, healthcare professionals, patients, families, and people who love a healthy lifestyle. Through the image of footsteps moving towards a common goal, the program conveyed the message: "Every step today is a commitment to a healthy heart tomorrow."
The event's atmosphere was geared towards a modern, positive, and inspiring spirit, encouraging everyone to be more proactive in building a daily exercise habit – a simple solution that offers many long-term health benefits.
In addition to walking activities, the program also includes various community communication activities, health education and counseling, and interactive activities to raise awareness about stroke prevention and diabetes management.

One of the program's notable aspects is the collaboration of organizations and businesses in the healthcare and nutrition sectors, all with the desire to contribute to building a healthier community.

As a Gold Sponsor of the program, Vinamilk Vietnam Dairy Joint Stock Company continues to demonstrate its commitment to public health through practical activities aimed at improving the quality of life for Vietnamese people.

At the event, Vinamilk Sure's nutrition consultation area attracted a large number of consumers who came to listen to shared information about proactive health care.
The connection between the healthcare sector, businesses, and the community is considered a crucial factor in spreading the values of healthy living and proactive disease prevention more effectively in modern society.

Beyond being just a single community activity, "A Thousand Steps - A Million Healthy Hearts" is expected to contribute to building lasting awareness of the role of physical activity and proactive health care in the community.
Throughout that journey, each step not only signifies physical activity but also represents concern for oneself, one's family, and the quality of life of the community.
With its humane message and positive spirit of connection, the program promises to become a significant highlight in community health activities in 2026.
