Accordingly, Thang Dien commune plans to develop three options for rearranging villages and residential areas. Specifically, Option 1 retains the current 22 villages; Option 2 rearranges them based on the criterion that each village has 450 households or more; and Option 3 rearranges villages with 700 households or more.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and providing input on selecting an arrangement suitable for the two-tiered local government model and the city's development orientation.
The opinions emphasized that the reorganization of villages and residential areas must ensure stability, longevity, and sustainability. Regarding the names of villages after reorganization, delegates suggested that they should be linked to the historical and cultural elements of the locality.
Regarding village officials, they need to meet requirements in terms of professional qualifications, political acumen, information technology application skills, and the ability to handle a large workload in the current period. Investment in cultural centers subject to restructuring also needs to be considered and adjusted appropriately for projects that have already been allocated funding.
According to the Party Secretary of the commune, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Thanh, this is an important basis for guiding the reorganization of villages and residential areas towards a streamlined, effective, and efficient operation, in line with the requirements of the new situation. The reorganization plans need to be carefully studied and calculated to ensure they are practical and fully meet current criteria and regulations.
