Representatives of the Organizing Committee of Tuan Hung - Duy Manh's music night came to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to present 3 billion VND to help flood victims.

Singer Thuy Tien became a phenomenon when she raised 178 billion VND and directly carried out relief trips to the people of the Central region during the 2020 flood season. At the same time, MC Tran Thanh raised 9 billion VND, Ly Hai - Minh Ha also raised more than 5 billion VND... Besides, there are also singers who donated money to help people in flood-hit areas through their own music nights, such as Quang Dung who raised more than 2 billion VND, Le Quyen who raised 300 million VND... After only 10 minutes of calling for donations, the account of artist and MC Quyen Linh during the 2020 flood season also received more than 2 billion VND (Quyen Linh then had to immediately close his account to quickly go to relief work, because he was afraid that if the amount of donations increased too much, he would not have enough strength to do it).

Many ways to do and spread

In recent days, when people in the northern provinces suffered heavy losses due to the impact of storm No. 3, many artists quickly expressed their spirit of "mutual love" through the amount of money transferred to the accounts of social charities such as the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Vietnam Red Cross Society and several other prestigious political and social organizations, press agencies... Some people contributed tens of millions, hundreds of millions and there were also artists who donated billions of dong. In particular, Ha Anh Tuan donated 1 billion VND in the Central Youth Union's campaign, My Tam 200 million VND, Hoa Minzy 500 million VND, Tung Duong and friends 500 million VND, Ly Hai and his wife 200 million VND, Phuong Oanh and Shark Binh 500 million VND... Besides donating cash, some artists also made trips to provide relief supplies to people such as singer Bang Kieu, singer Diep Lam Anh, actress Kieu Anh, MC Dai Nghia, beauty queen H'Hen Nie, singer Thai Thuy Linh... Singers Tuan Hung - Duy Manh organized a music night and received 3 billion VND from the music organization unit in Tam Dao to transfer to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

It can be seen that compared to previous storm and flood seasons, this year, artists rarely call for donations from the community, but mostly use their own money or only donate within close groups of friends. Sharing about choosing reputable organizations to accompany in charity activities, Miss H'Hen Nie said: "Currently, there are many reputable agencies, departments and sectors that work systematically, with specific and clear processes. Personally, I think we should cooperate with agencies, departments and sectors so that the work is done properly and with detailed plans, coordinating with many local levels in areas where community projects and charity work are planned. We have the heart but we also need to do it properly so that the meaning of the action is more complete."

Also participating in many charity activities, singer Nguyen Phi Hung and many artists went to the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee to share with people suffering from storms and floods. He said: "I do not keep an account to donate myself but connect with the organization so that they can receive my contribution. At the same time, I can still accompany that organization to give gifts directly to people in need."

Over the years, artists such as Ha Anh Tuan, My Tam, Den Vau, Quyen Linh... have always had practical and effective charity activities, inspiring and encouraging many people to join hands to help many difficult cases, not only in storms and floods.

Sharing about the story of donating and directly helping people affected by storm No. 3 in Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai provinces... these days, singer Thai Thuy Linh said: "I am a public figure, so my voice and appeal will spread more strongly, reaching more people. At first, I also endured a lot of gossip, like "those female singers know nothing but go to flood relief areas, organize these boat teams and so on...". And before making the trips, I did not expect how much people would contribute, I did as much as I could. The amount of money I have raised so far, more than 2 billion VND, is beyond my imagination. From that money, I have bought thousands of flashlights, tens of thousands of spare chargers, tons of dry food... to bring to the most difficult places".

A group of three artists, including painter Le Thiet Cuong, sculptor Dinh Cong Dat, and writer Nguyen Viet Ha, have decided to donate all proceeds from the exhibition Mat Khac (Cultural Center 22 Hang Buom, Hanoi) to the Bau Oi Thuong Le Bi Cung fund. This is an exhibition of papier-mâché and ceramic masks created by this group of close friends to tell the story of Hanoi streets, Hanoi markets, and Hanoians. Currently, 70% of the masks in the exhibition have been sold.

The close friends of People's Artist Xuan Bac - People's Artist Tu Long and artists from the Vietnam Drama Theater also organized a mid-autumn art program for children. The Mid-Autumn Festival program, scheduled to take place on the evening of September 17 at Ho Guom Theater, will also use ticket sales to support people, especially children affected by storms and floods. "The mid-autumn festival, of course, when affected by storms and floods, will become secondary. But having fun, dancing, singing, and being educated is the right of children. No matter what, children not being able to play is also a disadvantage in addition to the disadvantages due to flooding, schools and houses being washed away, books getting wet, especially the disadvantages of lost loved ones, and children themselves being victims of storms and floods," said People's Artist Xuan Bac.
