Timely rescue of 17 people isolated by floodwaters at the border

On the afternoon of September 22, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Tan Luc, Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Dong Xoai, Military Command of Dong Nai province, said that heavy rain that lasted during the night of September 21 and the morning of September 22 had greatly affected the lives of people in the border commune of Thien Hung, bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia.

At group 5, hamlet 6, Thien Hung commune, 4 households with 17 people were surrounded and isolated by floodwaters. Immediately upon receiving the news, officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Dong Xoai, Dong Nai Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Military Command of Thien Hung commune and functional forces to urgently approach and organize the evacuation of people to a safe place.

Officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Dong Xoai and Thien Hung commune, Dong Nai province brought people to safety.

According to Mr. Le Van Giap, Commander of the Military Command of Thien Hung Commune, by noon of the same day, all four households had been taken to a safe shelter. Notably, among them was the family of Mrs. Ho Thi Bach Tuyet, born in 1950, and her son, both of whom suffered a stroke and could not move on their own. Officers and soldiers directly carried and assisted the mother and son to a safe place. Fortunately, no human or property damage was recorded.

Officers and soldiers of the Military Command of Thien Hung commune, Dong Nai province, moved people's property to a safe place.

Currently, the Commune Military Command continues to send forces on duty and coordinate with functional units to ensure the safety of life and property of people in the area.
