In the context of educational reform, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and the enhancement of digital skills have become urgent requirements. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuoc, the school principal, teachers need to grasp tools that support teaching, testing, and evaluation.
The school also wholeheartedly supports the "Digital Literacy Movement," viewing it as an opportunity for teachers and students to access and apply technology in a practical way.
Here, teachers are provided with practical information: an overview of AI applications, guidance on using some typical tools in teaching and learning, and familiarization with Da Nang 's smart document management and operational software.
The presenter also introduced several AI software and utilities developed by the city, along with the "Digital Literacy Movement" and its supporting ecosystem.
These tools include searching for public services via the 1022 hotline, using smart document management software, etc., to encourage teachers and students to access and apply technology in a coordinated manner.
In particular, the program emphasizes supporting teachers in identifying and guiding students to apply AI in learning and research, while also promoting digital ethics and information security in the use of technology.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology, highly praised the school's approach: "Proactively applying AI and developing digital skills for teachers and students is a necessary direction, contributing to creating a solid foundation for the city's education in the context of global digital transformation."
Ms. Mai Thi Hoai Dung, a math teacher, said: "The training session helped us broaden our teaching approach, not only relying on textbooks but also integrating AI tools to enable students to actively explore knowledge."
One of the highlights of the program is the teaching plan to develop digital skills for students. Mr. Phan Quoc Duy, Vice Principal of Nguyen Trai High School, emphasized that integrating digital skills into the curriculum will help students not only grasp knowledge but also be equipped with the necessary skills for the future.
In October, the school will expand training to ensure that 100% of students have access to and practice AI tools. This is an important step in equipping students with comprehensive digital skills, while also enhancing the technological capabilities of the teaching staff.
Simultaneously, the school will organize a school-level scientific conference on STEM and AI topics, thereby developing concrete products such as presentations, educational plan frameworks, and teaching methods.
These activities motivate teachers and students to participate in scientific research, while also affirming the school's commitment to building an educational environment that adapts to the digital age.
With these steps, Nguyen Trai High School not only enhances the technological skills of teachers and students but also contributes to preparing human resources to meet the requirements of modern education. This is also a typical model in Da Nang in integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and learning, thereby contributing to building a learning city and adapting flexibly to the digital transformation process.
