In the context of educational innovation, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital capacity enhancement has become an urgent requirement. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuoc, Principal of the school, teachers need to grasp the tools to support teaching, testing and assessment.
The school also unanimously responded to the "Digital Education for All" movement, considering this an opportunity for teachers and students to access and apply technology in a practical way.
Here, teachers are provided with practical issues: an overview of AI applications, instructions on how to use some typical tools in teaching and learning, and at the same time helping teachers become familiar with Da Nang 's smart document management and administration software.
The reporter also introduced some AI software and utilities developed by the city, along with the "Digital Education for All" movement and the supporting ecosystem.
These tools include searching for public services via Hotline 1022, using smart document management software... to encourage teachers and students to access and apply technology in a synchronous manner.
In particular, the program emphasizes supporting teachers to detect and guide students in applying AI in learning and research, while promoting digital ethics and information security in the process of using technology.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, highly appreciated the school's approach: "Proactively applying AI and developing digital capacity for teachers and students is a necessary direction, contributing to creating a solid foundation for the city's education in the context of global digital transformation."
Ms. Mai Thi Hoai Dung, a math teacher, said: “The training session helped us expand our teaching approach, not only relying on textbooks but also integrating AI tools so that students can proactively explore knowledge.”
One of the highlights of the program is the teaching plan to develop digital skills for students. Mr. Phan Quoc Duy, Vice Principal of Nguyen Trai High School, emphasized that integrating digital skills into the curriculum will help students both grasp knowledge and be equipped with the necessary skills for the future.
In October, the school will expand training to ensure that 100% of students have access to and practice AI tools. This is an important step to equip students with digital skills and improve the technological capacity of the teaching staff.
In parallel, the school will organize a school-level scientific conference on STEM and AI topics, thereby forming specific products such as presentations, educational planning frameworks and guidance methods.
These activities motivate teachers and students to participate in scientific research, and affirm the school's determination to build an educational environment adapted to the digital age.
With these steps, Nguyen Trai High School not only enhances the technological skills of teachers and students but also contributes to preparing human resources to meet the requirements of modern education. This is also a typical model of Da Nang in applying artificial intelligence to teaching and learning, thereby contributing to building a learning city, flexibly adapting to the digital transformation process.
