Lo Lo Chai Village, located in Lung Cu Commune, is a prominent cultural destination on the Ha Giang stone plateau. This small village has just been honored by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in the list of “Best Tourist Villages in the World”, a recognition for its efforts to preserve and develop sustainable community tourism.

This is the place where the Lo Lo ethnic community lives, with traditional houses covered with yin-yang tiles. This unique architecture not only creates an ancient and peaceful scene but also shows the harmony between people and nature in the highlands.

Cultural experiences and accommodation

Tourists come to Lo Lo Chai not only to admire the landscape but also to deeply experience the local culture. Staying at homestays run by local people is the best way to learn about the lifestyle, customs and enjoy traditional cuisine .

The international title has helped Lo Lo Chai attract a large number of tourists, especially during peak seasons such as the Buckwheat Flower Festival. This has contributed significantly to improving people's lives, but also posed challenges in service management.

Important note about booking

Recently, especially during the peak tourist season, there has been a situation where some brokers "hold" homestay rooms and resell them to tourists at prices many times higher than the listed price. According to reports, there are cases where room prices from 600,000 VND/day have been pushed up to 2.4 million VND/day.

To protect your rights and have the best experience, visitors should:

  • Contact for direct booking: Search for information and contact directly with reputable homestay owners in Lo Lo Chai.
  • Confirm price before arrival: Ask the homestay owner to reconfirm the final price and included services.
  • Beware of overpriced prices: If a broker quotes an unusually high price, double-check information from multiple sources.

According to Mr. Tran Duc Chung, Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Committee, the local government has established an inspection team to strictly handle acts of speculation and price increases to protect the image of friendly tourism and the interests of tourists.
