With more than 20 years of experience in the profession, artist Ngoc Que has constantly strived, researched, and created, contributing to enriching the cultural and artistic life of Dong Nai.

Multi-talented artist

In real life, artist Ngoc Que is almost the same as her stage image: always radiant and full of energy. She attracts people with her sweet voice but still exudes sharpness. Her crisp laughter and witty, graceful gestures have become her own "brand", making anyone who has ever met her feel warm and sympathetic.

Artist Ngoc Que said: She was lucky to be born into a family with an artistic tradition, her mother is the late Meritorious Artist Bich Ngoc (member of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association). Since she was a 6th grade student, her family sent her to study professional piano at Dong Nai Literature and Arts College (7-year program). Perhaps because of that, she "entered the profession" quite early, since childhood she actively participated in the school's and class's cultural activities and local movement activities, singing, and acting.

Ngoc Que's learning journey continued when she took the entrance exam for the vocal music major at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, and at the same time studied at the Hanoi University of Culture (joint training in Ho Chi Minh City). After graduating, she "joined" the Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts, participating in training work, then switched to teaching general piano and vocal music.

Artist Ngoc Que is a multi-talented, passionate and dedicated person. On stage, she makes many impressions with her soulful and profound voice, especially when performing lyrical and revolutionary music. Sometimes she appears before the crowd as a charming MC. It is her charm, confidence and flexible stage management that have helped her successfully complete many large and small art programs, bringing a feeling of closeness, warmth and ensuring quality for each performance.

“In addition to teaching and singing, I have been a regular contributor to Dong Nai Newspaper, Radio and Television for many years. Currently, I collaborate with the Sports and Entertainment Department, conducting radio programs such as: Poetry Club (introducing authors and works of members of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association); Teaching singing to teenagers; Vietnamese chamber symphony and orchestra melodies” - Ms. Ngoc Que said.

In 2011, artist Nguyen Ngoc Que was admitted to the Music Board, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association. She participated in many competitions and music festivals in and outside the province, won many awards, titles, and certificates of merit, affirming her talent and contributions to the province's literature and arts.

Bringing art closer to young people

With the desire to spread art closer to young people, for many years, artist Ngoc Que has made efforts to teach and inspire generations of students at Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts. Many of her students have grown up, actively participated in music competitions in and outside the province, and become the core "nucleus" in local cultural and artistic movements.

Artist Ngoc Que said: Currently, the number of students registering to study music and art majors at Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts is quite large, especially Western music and vocal majors. It is worth noting that the school's training program has many innovations, the general piano and vocal music curriculum is no longer "too heavy" on academics as before. The teaching program is streamlined but still ensures that students grasp the knowledge and skills and focuses more on performance practice, helping students step onto the stage confidently.

In recent years, Dong Nai audiences have often seen the image of artist Ngoc Que on the stage of the Dong Nai Province Friendship Melodies Festival. Each time she participates in a performance, it not only brings her more professional experience but also opens up opportunities to explore the unique features in the culture of many countries and territories. Through these exchanges, she has the opportunity to introduce more widely the beauty of music and art, creating a bridge to help young people understand and love traditional art more, while contributing to spreading the image of Dong Nai to international friends.

Sharing about what has motivated her to persevere for more than two decades in pursuing art, artist Ngoc Que expressed her joy and happiness because the audience, students and the excited smiles after each performance and each lesson are the biggest source of motivation to help her continue to contribute. She believes and hopes that music and art will always become a companion of young people, helping them to be more confident, know how to cherish their emotions and find joy in life.

Master Phung Ngoc Long, Principal of Dong Nai College of Arts and Culture, said: “Ms. Ngoc Que grew up in a professional arts training environment, always striving and actively contributing to the arts and culture training career of her home province. She regularly participates in movement activities, social work and is an example for young people to continue to learn and follow.”
