On Saturday, November 15, the weekend, from about 7:35 am on the slope of Cong Troi from Quyet Tien commune (old) up and 4km from the center of Quan Ba commune, there was a traffic jam with a long line of cars and motorbikes waiting at both ends of the road. According to information from the people, including those transporting tourists and through the reporter's experience, this traffic jam was due to the construction unit repairing and upgrading the road, so vehicles had to temporarily stop for the construction unit to work. And it took dozens of minutes of congestion, after the construction unit temporarily stopped, vehicles were able to pass through this section.

According to our records, at the same Heaven's Gate slope, at around 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon of the same day (November 15), traffic jams continued to occur. Here, we saw that the construction unit was still repairing the road and there were still long lines of cars and motorbikes waiting at both ends of the repair section. At 5:50 p.m., the road was reopened, and vehicles were crowded again until nearly 6:00 p.m. before they could exit this section.

At around 5:00 p.m. on November 15, traffic jams continued to occur on Quan Ba Heaven's Gate slope.

According to local residents, on the morning of November 16, traffic jams continued to occur at the slope of the Heaven's Gate. Traffic jams often occur on weekends, from Friday afternoon when the number of tourists to the Stone Plateau increases, especially at this time when the Buckwheat Flower Festival is about to take place, which is the peak tourist season of the Dong Van Stone Plateau.

The construction unit repairing and upgrading National Highway 4C, Quan Ba Heaven's Gate slope, worked both morning and afternoon on November 15.

It is known that on Highway 4C there are currently a number of construction packages, units are making efforts to upgrade and repair the road. Thereby, after the construction is completed, it will help Highway 4C to be better, contributing to the development of tourism in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.

Many vehicles were impatiently waiting until dark on Quan Ba Heaven's Gate slope.

However, to reduce congestion on the Quan Ba Heaven Gate section and on some routes during construction, the authorities and communes need to coordinate and widely inform about construction hours on the media so that people can understand and adjust their travel time accordingly. Research measures to regulate both construction and traffic to create conditions for vehicles to still be able to move slowly through the construction section, avoiding congestion; on weekends, especially during the current peak tourist season, the construction unit should arrange construction in the evening or during times when there is less traffic, avoiding construction during rush hours...

When the construction was finished, two road rollers of the construction unit continued to follow the same convoy that was stuck.

On November 10, 2025, the Department of Construction issued Official Dispatch No. 2213/SXD-QLHT on "implementing measures to ensure traffic for the organization of the 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival and receiving tourism titles in 2025". The Department of Construction requested construction contractors to have appropriate construction plans and measures, not to affect the travel of people and tourists; limit construction during peak hours on Saturdays and Sundays during the peak month of the Buckwheat Flower Festival (November 15, 16, 22, 23, 2025). Management and maintenance units regularly arrange staff on duty to promptly coordinate with functional forces to organize traffic regulation when congestion occurs.
