3 people injured, many kiosks collapsed due to suspected gas explosion

On the evening of October 4, the leader of the People's Committee of Tien Lang commune (Hai Phong city) confirmed that an explosion suspected to be caused by gas had just occurred in the area, injuring 3 people and damaging many properties.

The incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (October 4) at the row of kiosks next to Tien Lang central stadium.

According to the scene, the explosion caused many kiosks to collapse, goods, properties and other items to be scattered, affecting a large area. The area where the explosion occurred was on the main road, so it also caused local traffic congestion.

According to some residents living near the area, the explosion came from a kiosk located near the middle of the row, due to the adjacent structure, it created a chain reaction, damaging many goods and assets related to business activities here.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hai Phong City Police mobilized forces and 2 specialized vehicles of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team Zone 2 to the scene, coordinated with the Traffic Police and Tien Lang Commune Police to organize rescue, rescue, and traffic flow to ensure traffic safety.

Because the kiosks are located next to the main road, the explosion also caused local traffic congestion.

Initial investigation determined that the explosion injured 3 people who had to be taken to the hospital, and caused severe damage to many properties. The incident is currently being investigated by the authorities to clarify the cause and handle it according to regulations.

It is known that Tien Lang Central Stadium was formerly in Tien Lang District, Hai Phong City (old), now in Tien Lang Commune, is one of the largest district-level stadiums built in Hai Phong, this area also has quite busy business and service activities.
