The tornado destroyed two houses of Mr. Vi Van Thang and Mr. Ha Van Huyen in the Pu Xai Cang resettlement village, Muong Piet village. The tornado also tore off the roofs of many households in Thong Thu commune.


In the immediate future, to stabilize people's lives, the Muong Piet Village Management Board has arranged temporary accommodation for them and has a plan to promptly support them.
According to the Center for Hydrometeorology, the center of storm No. 11 is currently located at about 20.8 degrees North latitude; 110.6 degrees East longitude, in the sea east of Leizhou peninsula (China), about 290 km East Southeast of Mong Cai (Quang Ninh). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 12-13 (118-149 km/h), gusting to level 16. Moving in the West Northwest direction, speed 20-25 km/h.
It is forecasted that from October 6 to the night of October 7, Nghe An province will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. The rainfall is forecast to be 30 - 60mm, especially in the Northwest region, some places will have over 100mm such as the communes of Quy Chau, Chau Tien, Thong Thu, Tien Phong... There may be thunderstorms and tornadoes during the rain. Due to the influence of the wide storm circulation, it is necessary to guard against the risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landing.
