Strong storms collapsed houses, passersby narrowly escaped

On the evening of October 5, Mr. Vuong Hong Thai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van An commune (Nghe An), confirmed that on the afternoon of the same day, a strong storm suddenly occurred in the commune, causing many roofs of houses to be blown off and fly onto the street.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Van An Commune, the commune has not yet calculated the damage, but this was a big storm. During the night, the government and functional forces still went to the field to grasp the damage situation and take remedial measures.

Also on the afternoon of October 5, thunderstorms occurred in many localities in Nghe An province. Specifically, in Thong Thu commune, there was a heavy rain and thunderstorm that lasted nearly 30 minutes. The tornado collapsed 2 houses in the Pu Xai Cang resettlement village, Muong Piet village and blew off the roofs of many houses in Thong Thu commune.

In the afternoon and evening of the same day, leaders of Thong Thu commune visited and encouraged families that suffered heavy damage due to storms and tornadoes.
